ESL (English as Second Language) Program


ESL Regular Program

At JEC, our instructors have years of experience assisting students of all ages and proficiency levels to improve their English. We use traditional and innovative techniques to help foster your student's reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills. Whether your child only needs to brush up on his or her vocabulary, or months of intensive study, we'll design a program that works perfectly for you. 


ESL Intensive Program
JEC's ESL Intensive Program is designed for elementary and middle school students wanting to strengthen their English abilities. This program emphasizes: speaking, conversation, and listening skills, reading comprehension, vocabulary building, and writing skills, including idiom usage and proper grammar. Scheduled for 6 hours per day, students have a choice of attending either 3 or 5 days each week.

  • 4 or 8 week program available (Customization is possible)
  • 5 days/week program (Optional 3 days a week available)
  • 6 hours a day program
  • Textbooks/workbooks will be selected based on the result of assessment test
  • Our program emphasizes pronunciation, speaking & listening, as well as reading comprehension, vocabulary, grammar, and writing.

TOEFL Prep.
Learning English is tough. Getting through your junior year and preparing for college is even tougher. If you must also face the additional challenge of the TOEFL, then you may feel downright overwhelmed.

At JEC, we'll provide your child with an individually tailored program. Our teachers will assist your child in mastering key vocabulary, listening strategies, and conversational and reading comprehensionWhether your child has a nearly perfect grasp of English and just needs to brushup, or very limited English experience, we have many options available We can meet your child’s needs.


SSAT/IEEE
If you want your child to attend a private school, he or she will have to take the SSAT or IEEE as part of the admission process. We can help.

At JEC, our teachers will guide your child in an individually designed program that will help him or her to master the SSAT/IEEE. We'll teach your child key vocabulary, analogies, writing, reading comprehension, and math strategies. Whether your child has already begun to study, or has never seen a SSAT/IEEE before, we have many options available that will fit you’re his or her needs.
